The private auction of Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge with Christie's at the Grand Palais ended on February 25, 2009 with a total of $484.6 million. It broke the world record for individual work including Matisse's "Les Coucous, Tapis Bleu Et Rose," and the infamous rat and rabbit bronze fountainheads, which sold to anonymous telephone bidder for $20 million each.
